If you are considering Polish-made windows through Windows4You, start with the product you want for each opening. The country of manufacture is one detail. The window system, glass, fitting work and written terms show what you are buying.
Ask for the supply scope and any proposed installation work to be recorded in the written proposal.
Choose the product for the room
Tell us how you want each window to open and what matters in the room. An inward-opening tilt and turn window needs room for the opening section to swing. Include nearby worktops, taps and furniture in your photos.
Ask which uPVC, aluminium, timber or aluminium-clad timber options are available for your particular opening. The written proposal should name the selected system and finish. Material and opening choices vary between products.
Check the complete window specification
Ask the quote to identify the glass, handles and opening arrangement. If heat loss, noise or security is important, request information applying to the complete proposed design.
A profile-brand name does not describe every component of the finished window. Keep the approved drawings and specification together.
Move from initial estimate to final survey
Send labelled photographs, approximate inside measurements and your postcode for an initial estimate. Only measure where you can reach safely.
After you accept the initial estimate, the final survey checks the opening dimensions and installation details needed to confirm the W4Y order. Customer enquiry measurements are not manufacturing sizes.
Agree the fitting work in writing
Check what is included in removal, delivery, fitting and work around the opening. Ask who will complete any separate building work. Confirm VAT, payment stages and estimated timing in the written proposal.
Windows bought independently from another supplier have a separate purchase and installation arrangement. Do not assume a W4Y estimate includes surveying or fitting those products; agree the scope before buying.
Understand the guarantee documents
Ask who provides each warranty and which parts of the purchase it covers. Product, glass, hardware and installation terms may be separate. Check any care requirements, exclusions and how to report a problem.
Keep the quotation, final specification, payment records and applicable completion documents. Ask when each document will be supplied.
Questions
Does Polish-made mean a particular window specification?
No. Identify the manufacturer, system, glass and opening arrangement. Compare the actual products.
Can I send my own measurements?
Yes, for an initial estimate. A W4Y order needs the final survey and agreed manufacturing details before production.
Will W4Y survey windows I buy elsewhere?
This guide concerns products supplied through W4Y. It does not offer a survey or fitting service for independently purchased windows.
Send labelled photos, rough measurements and your postcode. Tell us which openings and materials you are considering for a W4Y order.
