How it opens
How a PSK door opens
To slide, the moving panel comes away from its closed position and travels alongside the neighbouring panel. The same panel can tilt inwards at the top.
Ask to see how the proposed door moves before choosing handles or finishes.
We can discuss uPVC, aluminium and timber options. Available sizes, colours, glass and panel arrangements depend on the selected system. Your drawing should show which panel moves, which stays fixed, the opening direction and the clear space you can walk through.

Not the same door
PSK or lift and slide?
These doors use different opening mechanisms.
A PSK panel has separate tilt and slide positions. To slide, it moves away from the frame. With a lift and slide door, turning the handle lifts the moving panel before it slides. Compare the drawings and how each door would work in your room.

01Can every PSK door tilt?
The moving panel in a PSK design has a tilt function. Ask for a drawing of the particular layout you are considering. Fixed panels do not tilt.
02Are PSK and lift and slide doors the same?
No. Both can provide a sliding opening, but their mechanisms and everyday operation differ. Ask to try a representative door where possible.
03Is a level threshold included?
The threshold and floor detail depend on the selected system and the site. Raise access needs before ordering.
04Can you quote without visiting?
Yes. Send outside photographs, rough sizes and the number of openings for a first written price. The survey then confirms manufacture sizes, access, thresholds and finishing details before anything is ordered.
