Window and door brands

Window and door brands we quote by name

This page shows the profile brands behind the windows and doors we quote. Some support our UK casement line; others are used for imported tilt-and-turn and sliding systems. We name the actual profile on the written quote and explain why it suits the opening.

Our approach

Profile first, label second

Opening size, operation, material, colour and glass decide whether a brand belongs on the shortlist. The written quote names the selected system.

Look beyond the badge

What to check beyond the window brand name

Two quotes can name the same brand and still describe materially different windows.

  • Exact profile and sash type
  • Opening direction and configuration
  • Glass build-up and spacer choice
  • Colour inside and outside
  • Hardware, handles and ventilation
  • Survey, fitting, making good and certification

We put those points in writing before you compare totals.

A simple route

How we shortlist window brands for your written quote

1

See the property

Send outside photographs and rough sizes. We look at the style, openings and likely access.

2

Shortlist the routes

We narrow the material, operation and profile family to options that make sense for the job.

3

Write the comparison

The quote names the system, colour, glass, hardware, fitting and any separate work.

4

Confirm at survey

Final manufacturing sizes and details are checked before the order is placed.

Window profile and brand FAQs

Brand questions

Straight answers about how we compare profile brands on a written quote.

How we compare profile brands before you choose.

01Which window brand is best?

There is no single answer for every opening. The best shortlist depends on window style, material, sizes, appearance and budget. We name the reasons for the recommendation.

02Why do you offer more than one brand?

Different profiles suit different operations and supply routes. Imported tilt-and-turn, UK casement and aluminium each have named systems we compare - the quote shows which line fits your opening.

03Are Aluplast windows any good?

Aluplast is a serious route for tilt-and-turn, sliding and selected UK casement work. We specify the exact Ideal or UK profile family, glazing and hardware on the quote rather than selling a logo.

04Are Salamander windows any good?

Salamander bluEvolution and evolutionDrive systems are part of our imported shortlist where depth, operation and finish suit the job. Final frame and glass build-up is always written down.

05Are Gealan windows any good?

GEALAN S8000 and S9000 families cover many tilt-and-turn projects. We only recommend them when the opening, colour route and budget align - and we name the exact system on the quote.

06Can I see the systems before ordering?

Yes. Visit our Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom to compare flush casement samples, colours and hardware, or send photos to start a written comparison remotely.
