Bifold Patio Doors

Also often called folding sliding doors, bifold patio doors allow for replacing whole walls with glass which makes it possible to fully open up the room to the outside. They often operate on tracks that are flush with the floor level, which further blurs the border between the inside and the outside. Tri fold doors are also available, using a similar system.

This solution, although popular, is fairly frame-heavy, so the total glass area is reduced. The folded door panels also take up quite a lot of space - a disadvantage in smaller properties.

The lift & slide door is incredibly durable and is a great option for patios and balconies. The simple opening system can be operated manually or driven by an automatic mechanism, controlled with a push-button or remote.
